For nearly 200 years, the Virginia Theological Seminary (VTS) has prepared women and men from around the world for service in the Episcopal Church, and over the past 10-20 years, the Seminary’s online presence has become more and more important. As a modern educational institution, the VTS website is often the first impression many visitors will have of the institution.

Meet Our Client

Virginia Theological Seminary is the flagship seminary of the Episcopal Church. Founded in 1823, VTS prepares women and men from around the world for both ordained and lay service in the Church. Students from every Episcopal province in the United States and from many other countries have found their way to VTS to be shaped by the discipline of worship in an environment committed to learning so that they can serve Christ effectively.

Their Objectives

Ironistic worked with the VTS team to design and build a custom website with multiple interactive features. We created a design that balances the client’s position as a leader in Episcopal-based education with a functional user experience. Ironistic also helped to streamline all of their content into a more user-friendly site architecture. We implemented this in WordPress so the client would be able to easily edit the website and leverage their digital environment.
