On July 1, 2024, Google Analytics 4 properties will have fully replaced Universal Analytics properties, as previously announced. From that date, Google will begin turning off all Universal Analytics services and Universal Analytics APIs, which means Universal Analytics properties will be inaccessible through the Google Analytics front-end and APIs.
What does this mean?
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) became the primary source of Google’s analytics data on July 1, 2023. Universal Analytics stopped collecting data in October 2023. With the deletion of UA Properties on July 1 of this year, all analytics data before your GA4 account was created (between May 2022 and June 2023) will be gone forever. This means losing access to valuable historical data, essential for business insights and decision-making. Ensure that you keep all important data. Exporting the data is the only way to retain all the necessary information.
What are the next steps?
The Ironistic team will be taking the following steps of Option 1 (attached) to export your UA and the hours needed. Please contact us to schedule your export if you are interested in Option 2, Option 3, or additional add-ons. If no action is taken in response to the proposed export and timeframe, it will be interpreted as implicit disapproval. This estimate and cost will remain in effect until May 15th and is subject to change as the deadline approaches.
If you want your team to complete the UA data export, follow the migration guide to start making the switch today!
Feel free to contact Ironistic with any questions.
