Ironistic is an awesome blend of a traditional web development shop and a digital marketing agency. We’re looking for a part-time (possibly full-time) Accounting/Human Resources Office Assistant with a passion for technology, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. Ironistic’s office is located in Alexandria, VA.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 1+ years of accounting experience
- Must have exceptional attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to prioritize
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be a self-starter and self-directed
- Good computer skills with a knowledge of common bookkeeping and spreadsheet programs
- Good math skills and capable of spotting numerical errors
- QuickBooks experience is a plus!
Responsibilities will include:
- Perform office assistant duties: answer, screen, and forward incoming calls, filing, processing the mail
- Follow accounting and human resources best practices
- Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
- Prepare bank deposits, fast-check invoices, general ledger postings, and statements
- Scan, file, and log accounting transactions
- Assist with planning and execution of special events such as employee travel, company-wide meetings, employee recognition events, etc.
- Provide other administrative support as necessary, including maintaining calendars, filing papers, doing research, and creating reports
- Assist with new hire orientation functions
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resources and accounting information
- Other job duties as assigned by your supervisor as needed
